Good blend of yarns that provide plenty of cushion for the toes and heel plus a nice support band for the heel. They are quite cool even in summer - I can't wear shoes without socks so I am always looking for a suitable sock for summer. Good fit around ankle and lower calf. All in, these are great socks at a great price - hard to find technical socks without paying a premium. While they are certainly not advertised as dress socks, I wear them with suits every day. They don't have the typical vertical ribbing you might find on normal crew socks. Of the many types of black socks I have tried, these have the best combination of comfort and elasticity. I hate nothing more in a pair of dress socks than having to constantly pull them up. I don't care for over-the-calf (knee-high) dress socks, and these are about mid-calf, but they fit snugly and don't constantly fall down. These are great.
