They also feel smoother and better on my feet than pantyhose. They stay up without cutting into my legs--a bonus. I like that they are opaque but still thinner than socks. I wear them wrong side out because the toe seam is a bit uncomfortable. I have L.L. Bean's suede ballet slippers in navy, brown, and black, and these trouser socks are a good match for those shoes, especially for the fall & winter. I'll be ordering another set of these, because they are great basics for the everyday wardrobe.I wish they would make these in lighter colors for spring & summer--cream, ice blue, and very pale gray, and perhaps a brighter navy as well. 8 of 9 people found the following review helpful  Nylon-feeling socks with a large toe seam in just the wrong spot, This review is from: Gold Toe Women's Microfiber Trouser 3 Pack (Apparel) I found these socks quite disappointing. Here are their primary faults:- Unpleasant texture: When I think microfiber, I think soft. These socks feel like nylon, and cling to any rough spots on your feet. - Irritating seam position: There is also a large nylon seam that rubs against the bottom of your toes. Unfortunately, it is not possible to conveniently adjust the seam to a position where it doesn't create unpleasant friction against your toesh. - Size/thinness: While these socks say they fit a range of sizes, they are actually quite small, with no extra padding at the heel or toes, as such, you can see your skin through the socks, even if you are well within the stated sock size range. There are many microfiber socks out there. They are thicker than knee-high hose but they are thinner and stretchier than regular socks. They are very soft and breathable but still warm. I know some might have an issue with the toe seam, but to me it's the same as pantyhose so if hose bother you, then these will too. I usually wear these socks pulled up like knee-highs, though I find I need to keep pulling them up if I do. If you wear them folded over or slouched, then you don't need to readjust (and they wear just fine that way). I bought a 3-pack of these and will be purchasing several more. |
